Theorem Painting. This
design was adapted from an original theorem painting most likely executed by a
schoolgirl in the early 1800s. It was probably painted in oil on
velvet or in watercolor on paper.

design was adapted from original trays decorated in gold leaf and
freehand bronze painting. The trays are English and date from the
