The “Os” box is a lesser known Rosemaling style from an area south of Bergen, Norway.  It became popular in that area around 1820.  It is a rather primitive style using very bright colors.  Colors most often used are black, white, or red.  The center square can be painted or gold leafed, for those experienced in applying gold leaf.  This center square can be prepared on Sunday evening.  If painted, a drier should be use, (Japan).  The drier should be added when the red borders are painted. The flower and leaf forms will be demonstrated, otherwise, the painting is pretty straightforward.

The Telemark  style 6” plate is  white, blue, green.  The technique of this style is different from HSEAD, therefore some basic strokes will be demonstrated.

The painting of these projects can be done at the same time to give parts time to dry.

Lab Fee:  $35.  I will supply box, plate,  paint and mediums.
