Through demostrations and practice on cardboard the art of wood graining will be presented. Woods to be executed are: Maple (tiger and birds eye); mahogany-straight grain, heart grain, and crotch grain; walnut-straight grain and burl; oak with tools; satinwood. Various glazing mediums will be presented. Supplies $20. Boxes and poster board extra. Class will complete a box. Box may be provided by student or teacher will have prepared boxes for sale. Teacher will supply paints, glazes and brushes for use in class. Students may supply poster board for samples prepared in advance or purchase them by order from instructor.
