Historical Society of Early American Decoration

2011 SPRING MEETING VENDORS

The Historical Society of Early American Decoration (HSEAD) Spring Meeting setting is an ideal venue for vendors to offer their wares to active painters and enthusiasts of Early American decorative painting. Large draped banquet tables are available for rent the entire three day meeting. The Exhibition and Vendor’s Hall will be open to the public and Spring Meeting participants all three days and evening hours.

The HSEAD Annual Spring Meeting will be held May 13-15 at the Holiday Inn Albany Hotel and Convention Center. The picturesque Albany area is well known as the setting of some of the best known American 19th century paintings.

The HSEAD Hudson Valley Chapter has prepared a busy, informative program highlighting The Hudson River School of Painting featuring the National Landmark home Olana the Persian style home of Frederick Edwin Church and Cedar Grove the Thomas Cole home. Educational sessions are interspersed with social activities.

The HSEAD Spring Meetings attract members and friends from far and wide.  The accompanying Annual Exhibition, which is open to the public, features prized original Early American painted pieces. Also on view are award winning works produced by the most accomplished HSEAD painters. In addition new guild members display their applicant pieces that have been judged acceptable using the most rigorous standards required for HSEAD membership.  The annual Exhibition provides a view of the best of Early American painting both old and new.
