SPRING MEETING

The HSEAD Spring Meeting setting is an ideal place for vendors to offer their wares to a group of active painters and enthusiasts of Early American decorative painting. Large draped banquet tables are available to vendors for rent for the three days. The Exhibition and Vendor’s Hall will be open to the public and Spring Meeting participants for all three days and evening hours.

The Historical Society of Early American Decoration (HSEAD) will hold its Annual Spring Meeting April 23-25 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in the historic city of Auburn in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York State.

Seward family, West Lake Conservators the nationally recognized historic preservationists and a lively lecture Wild Creativity: The Grain Painted More House by Jim Havener. Educational sessions are interspersed with social activities.

The Spring Meetings attract HSEAD members and friends from far and wide.  The accompanying Annual Exhibition, which is open to the public, features, prized original Early American painted pieces. Also on view will be award winning works produced by the most accomplished HSEAD painters. In addition new guild members display their applicant pieces that have been judged acceptable using the most rigorous standards required for HSEAD membership.  The annual Exhibition provides a view of the best of Early American painting both old and new.
