This article shows color pictures to accompany the pattern for a theorem painting, appearing in the Spring 2008 newsletter.  See the Newsletter for descriptive details. 

Butterfly- Cadmium yellow medium with a little Titanium white.  Shade the edges with Ivory black, also detail work.
Lily- is Light red, on the petals be sure to leave a highlight- the inner center is yellow med and burnt umber stamens the lines in the petals are green
