Requirements for Brazer Guild Membership

1. Brazer Guild membership in the Historical Society of Early American Decoration, Inc. is open to any person "actively participating in the art of Early American Decoration" who has served as an Applicant and completed the membership requirements.

2. An applicant must submit, and have approved by the Judging Committee of the Society, two (2) finished articles which cover all points outlined in the enclosed Guidance Sheets:

a. One (1) article - Stenciling on tin or wood

b. One (1) article - Country Painting

These pieces will be judged at the semi-annual meetings of the Society. The Applicant will be notified of the time and place of each meeting.

3. The enclosed Brazer Guild Membership Application must be completed and returned to the Applicant Chairman, with a check in the amount of $35.00 to cover the applicant dues for the current year. Please make checks payable to H.S.E.A.D., Inc.

4. The application may be received at any time. To submit articles for judging at the following semi-annual meeting, the application must be received six (6) weeks prior to the first day of the meeting. The applicant will be given that date when the Applicant Chairman sends the application papers to her/him.

5. An Applicant may have three (3) consecutive years in which to complete the requirements. Extension of that time may be given upon request of the Applicant.

7. The Applicant's dues must be received by the Applicant Chairman on, or before, June 15 each year in order to continue as an applicant.
