H.S.E.A.D. ANNUAL FALL MEETING
Dear H.S.E.A.D. Members and Friends,
Our Fall 2009 Meeting will be our 9th Working Seminar based on the Hands-On Workshop plan. This will be an educational opportunity for you to take one three-day class and immerse yourself in one of the H.S.E.A.D. judgeable categories or other related classes.
This meeting will be held in Killington, VT. Dolores Furnari has made arrangements at the Grand Resort Hotel for a favorable room rate and meal plan. You will need to make your own lodging and meal plan arrangements by filling out the enclosed forms and returning them to the Hotel. This year the meal plan is required as part of the lodging package since this is how we are able to obtain the classrooms for this meeting. Thursday dinner, breakfasts and lunches will be on your own.
Workshop classes will begin on Thursday, September 24th from 7-9pm. Classes will continue at 9am to 5pm Friday and Saturday. Sunday classes will be from 9 to 2pm. On Friday and Saturday you may return to work on your own in the evening until 9pm. The swimming pool is open until 10pm so bring a bathing suit and relax after class.
Enclosed you will find an enrollment form. Please fill out the form, listing your first 3 choices of classes. Enrollment will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Spring Meeting. Any registration forms received after the meeting will be handled on a mail dated first come basis. All mailed forms will be sent to Cooperstown, NY and then forwarded to me to set up the classes. . There are 10 spaces per class due to the room sizes and if there are more than 10 students interested in one class, you will be placed in your 2nd or 3rd choice class. Registration closes on July 30th. Your class assignments with supply lists will be sent to you after this date.
We will again be holding a Treasure Market on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. When you register, you will need to let me know if you want to be part of our Treasure Market. This is for painting related or antique items.
Registration and Class Fee: The total fee for this program is $165- (100.00 is for the class and $65 is for the registration fee). Class Fee after August 13 is $110. This late fee is to compensate teachers for additional preparation after the deadline.
