Students in this class will work on a small arched dial with a fruit basket on the arch and strawberries and cherries on the spandrels. The other small dials that have been done in the past Killington workshops will also be available as will full sized dials and numerous patterns.  Instruction will be given on the execution of the inked time track, the background colors of dials, the use of gesso and gilding on dials, and history of clock dials.  This class is for beginners but all levels are most welcome including those of you who have been in my classes before.   Oil painting experience is helpful.  On the first full days of class, the execution of the time track will be our primary focus, but then we will get onto the fun of the actual painting on days three and four.  The lab fee will cover the prepared dials, a color Xerox pattern, the quartz movement and hands for the completed painted dials of your choice, and some other helpful items for a successful journey into the art of the white dial.   Lab fee - $35.00
