This article shows color pictures to accompany the pattern for the left spandrel of a clock dial appearing in the Summer 2007 newsletter.  See the Newsletter for a full size pattern and descriptive details. 

This design by Carol Buonato incorporates a number of  elements from historically authentic patterns to develop a composition for teaching purposes only.  Many historically authentic original patterns are available to members of HSEAD for reproduction.
