Birds, Bees, and Butterflies
The following information is reprinted from the Winter 2009 Newsletter:
The theme for this meeting is "Come to Vermont and Learn About the Birds and the Bees." The Pioneer Chapter will be hosting the convention May 1-3, 2009, at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington, Vermont. This will be an in-house meeting with demonstrations in most of our EAD categories by our members in the following techniques: freehand bronze, gold leaf, Pontypool, Victorian, glass and watercolor theorem painting of birds, butterflies, bees and bugs.
As
an extra treat, we are planning a tour of the
Shelburne Museum on Sunday, May
3, from 1:30 - 4:00 P.M. by reservation only for the first fifty people who sign
up. This is a special tour because the Museum is not open to the public
this early in the season. Also for those who wish to
visit Vermont and its
wonderful array of antique shops, etc., the
hotel will honor the package plan
price for early arrivals and late departures
(i.e. Thursday and Sunday).
Our chapter members are working diligently to make this meeting exciting and a very special occasion, so mark your 2009 calendars now to be sure you don't miss this meeting. Remember that we need to occupy a certain number of rooms in order to be able to use the meeting and exhibition spaces at no cost. Your support is greatly appreciated!
